Fancy seeing you here! Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung have a girly catch up as they support their friend Henry Holland at his London Fashion Week show
While her pregnant sister has been dominating the spotlight recently, Pixie thrust herself back on the radar with an appearance at London Fashion Week.
The blonde haired model was sitting next to the catwalk for a change, instead of walking up and down it and she seemed to be having a great time with her old friend Alexa Chung.
The 21-year-old dropped by to see her best pal Henry Holland and his Autumn/Winter 2012 House of Holland show at My Beautiful Fashion in east London.
Girls only: Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung shared a laugh on the front row of the House of Holland show at London Fashion Week
The young fashionista was given the VIP treatment from the British designer and was sat on the front row next to TV presenter Alexa, where the pair looked like they were getting on famously.
Pixie was dressed in her own quirky style and wore a fluffy white jacket with a black polo neck jumper and a thick striped black and white cardigan which she teamed with a black skirt with a flower print.
The youngest daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, who once modelled for House of Holland, knew her wardrobe choice for the day was questionable and admitted to making the fashion faux pas on Twitter.
Playing it straight: The two girls took a moment from their chat to pose for a photograph
Crashing the party: Nick Grimshaw sat next to the two girls and talked throughout the fashion show
She said: 'My outfit today is very clashy! I'm into it! #callingitbeforeimrinsed'.
Alexa may only be 28-years-old but she has already become quite the little fashion icon and she didn't disappoint this afternoon in a pair of paisley print trousers which she wore with a simple and plain grey cardigan.
She also wore some funky looking silver heels and accessorised the outfit with a small Chanel handbag.
The female love-in was going well until T4 presenter Nick Grimshaw joined in the party and told began discussing the designs as the models headed down the runway.
The cool crew: Poppy Delvigne looked great with her blonde hair down and out dressed her front row friends
Congratulations: Pixie said her friend and designer Henry Holland had put on the best show ever
Poppy Delvigne was also sat next to the girls and she looked superb in a cream boyfriend-fit blazer with an off-white jumper and black trousers with snakeskin heels.
Pixie, who later congratulated Henry face to face, enjoyed the show and told her near 16,000 followers on Twitter about it.
She said: '@henryholland was the best ever! So good (adopts new jersey accent) “I can't STAND it!!!!” #proudface'.
Poppy Delevigne, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof showcased unique styles at the show
Alexa was also a fan of the creations
and she said: '@henryholland show was excellent!!!! Houndstooth blue
dress was so ideal. X well done, Hen! <3 <3'.
Other famous faces to grace the east London show included reality TV star and Made In Chelsea stalwart Millie Mackintosh who wore a long grey dress with a small slit in it, and model turned presenter Jade Parfitt.
The 33-year-old wore a pink dress with black print on it and knee-high boots with tights.
Best supporting stars: Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh and model Jade Parfitt were also at the show
RED ALERT! HOUSE OF HOLLAND IS BIGGER, BOLDER AND BRIGHTER THAN EVER
The man who started out in the fashion world printing logo T-shirts has come a long way. Then a lowly fashion cupboard assistant with a dream, House of Holland designer Henry Holland was always meant for bigger things than the logo tee revival (though that in itself was no small achievement).
Holland gets more confident with each passing season – buoyed, no doubt, by the rock star-like reception he gets from screaming crowds at every one of his shows. Even as a fledgling designer his catwalk events were packed to the rafters with hooting, hollering fashionistas. The man has a je ne sais quois. Many will not get it – this collection was at times gaudy in the extreme – but they are probably not his core fans.
This time round we had jumbo dogtooth in neon tones on brilliant jumper/scarf combos, a 'King Kong on a night out' furry jacket with bright red stripes, and dozens of top-to-toe fire engine red looks, from a leather dress to a fitted boiler suit and a floor-length dress with vivid purple zig zags.
All in all, confident, unique – but not to everyone's tastes. And no doubt that's just the way Henry Holland likes it.
