Elizabeth Hurley is not a woman who takes heed when she is told what to do.

A few days after being warned off her fianc Shane Warne's children, she defiantly went to collect them from school today.

And she also gushed about how amazing they were and how they have welcomed her into their lives.

In a blatant two fingers up at Warne's ex-wife Simone Callahan she was seen doing the school run to collect his daughter Summer.

And she greeted the nine-year-old redhead with a big hug as she waited at the school gates, which will no doubt infuriate Callahan even further.

Liz, 46, also thanked Summer and her siblings Brooke, 14, and 13-year-old Jackson for being 'welcoming, inclusive and charming'.

Liz, who will be their official stepmother when she and Shane marry this year, made sure the world could see her compliment as she took to her Twitter page to gush about the new kids in her life.

She wrote: 'We've had the best time in Melbourne & have got around a lot more: trips to Flinders, Macedon & Wogan Valley. Amazing food everywhere.'

Then she added: 'A million thanks to my three beautiful future stepchildren for being so welcoming, inclusive and charming to me and my son.'

Two days ago she was given a warning by Callahan, the children's mother who was married to Warne for ten years from 1995, to 'stop playing mum” to her children, following rumours they reportedly call her 'mummy two'.

Speaking to Australia's Women's Day magazine, she responded to comments made this month by the actress that the children called her ‘Mummy Two’.

She admitted she still found it painful to see Miss Hurley with her three children by Warne, daughters Brooke, 14, and Summer, and 12-year-old son Jackson.

She said: 'I can’t control what people say, but it’s just disrespectful as far as I’m concerned. She is not their mum. And the kids know exactly what the situation is.'

Simone, 42, was snapped with Liz, 46 – the first time they had met in 18 months – and Shane, 42, chatting away as they watched Jackson take part in a sports day at his school last month.

But Simone, who married Shane in 1995, admitted to the magazine that it was very 'awkward' when the couple arrived at the school and said: 'Shane and Liz turned up – along witha swag of photographers – but we didn’t speak at the assembly.'
