Winners Little Mix performed in Nike trainers which Miss Palmer had encrusted in Swarovski crystals.

The unexpected boost for her business came out of the blue from X Factor stylists who emailed their first request three weeks ago.

Taimar said: “I thought the email was a hoax, but it wasn”t.

“I felt like I had won the lottery. Things like this just don”t happen to me.”

The shoes were covered in black crystals with gold crystal musical notes – with half a vinyl record on each shoe.

She said: “I was running around trying to find a black and gold record for Misha B”s shoes with my Mum, and spent a lot of time designing the patterns on the shoes. Those shoes took me hours to make!”

The stylists were so impressed when they received Misha B”s shoes, they sent another email a week later asking her to design and customise shoes for Little Mix for the final show.

“When they then asked me if I would like to customise shoes for Little Mix to wear in the final, I was speechless.”

“Thistime I was given two backstage passes to meet the girls. It just made everything worthwhile. I”m so happy they won too – they are lovely people.”

In all, Miss Palmer spent over 60 hours designing and customising the famous shoes.

She has decided to auction Misha B”s shoes in the new year to raise money for Birmingham Children”s Hospital, who cared for a friend”s child after he was struck down by thedeadly disease meningitis.

Taimar, a former Tile Hill Wood School pupil, studied fine art at Birmingham City University, graduating in 2009.
