'Do you think he's coming back' Latest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises suggests that Batman has met his match with Bane

For almost a year now, fans have been teased with several trailers as the release date of The Dark Knight Rises creeps up but the latest footage of the film may not be what they were expecting.
In a new trailer, which was released today, it is suggested that Batman may never return as he finally meets his match with super villain Bane.
Not only does the two-minute long video hint at the comic book hero's disappearance, it also gives fans an insight into just how dangerous Bane is.

It starts with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character John Blake talking to a child about Batman.
'So you know about him' the Gotham City beat cop says to the young boy.
'Course,' he replies, before asking: 'Do you think he's coming back'
'I don't know,' is all Blake can say before the trailer transcends into the havoc that Bane will bring onto the city.

It then cuts to Gary Oldman's character Commissioner James Gordon asking him: 'What are you' to which he replies: 'Gotham's reckoning.'
The menacing character, who is played by British star Tom Hardy, is seen blowing up a football pitch, wrecking a bank but most disturbing, is the result of his fight with Batman.
When the two meet, the tussle ends with Bane walking away from it and tossing Batman's torn mask on the floor.

But Batman certainly isn't scared of his latest match, as he announces to Alfred Pennyworth, who is played by Michael Caine, 'I'm not afraid, I'm angry.'
The teaser also shows a glimpse of Bruce Wayne as he returns to his role of Batman after The Dark Knight ended with him having to go into hiding after taking the blame for the destruction caused by the Joker and Harvey 'Two-face' Dent.
'Remember where you parked' Morgan Freeman's character Lucius Fox asks a tired-looking Wayne as he is reunited with the Batmobile.

Fans also see another side to Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, who is played by Anne Hathaway.
The mysterious character doesn't say much in the latest trailer but she is seen stealing the Batmobile.
In a previous trailer she is seen dancing with Batman at masquerade ball and foreshadows danger.
'A storm is coming, Mr. Wayne,' she warns. 'And you and your friends better batten down the hatches.'

A longstanding rumour has been that Bruce Wayne will perish in this final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins franchise.
The Dark Knight Rises has cost $250million to make, but will not be shown in 3D, only IMAX cinemas.
The film opens in cinemas in the UK and US on July 20.
