Lady Mary in a very different light! Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery shows off sexy sixties style for magazine shoot

Fans of Downton Abbey are used to seeing Michelle Dockery as elegant Lady Mary, in dropped waist dresses, modest high necklines and with a string of pearls sat around her neck.
But in a racy shoot for Interview magazine the 30-year-old actress has shrugged off her character's airs and graces, opting instead for a much more sexier style.
The British star is seen transformed into a 1960s siren, posing in a bra and a high-waisted leather skirt.

Michelle has her hair teased across one shoulder, with a headband separating her fringe from the rest of her tresses.
She is seen sporting heavy flicked
out eye-liner and heavy brows, a stark contrast to her fresh faced
appearance as Lady Mary Crawley.
While fans are used to seeing
Michelle strutting around the imposing Abbey, but in one shot from the
magazine shoot the actress is seen stood on a cobbled road with small
terrace houses in the background.

In an interview with the magazine the actress reveals why she believes the show is so successful.
She says: 'The audience gets a nostalgic feeling for the period. It's a time without the internet without mobile phones. It was an easier sort of period that people look back on and find very heartwarming.'
