Kristen Stewart has become as well-known for her role as Twilight's Bella as she has for wearing ratty sneakers with her thousand-dollar red carpet gowns.
But it seems the 22-year-old's stylist, Tara Swennen, wants her to wear heels just as much as her diehard fans, who are tired of her casual attitude.
Ms Swennen, who has also styled Miley Cyrus, Kate Beckinsale, and Angie Harmon, told The Cut: 'There are definitely times when I have to say, “Please, please, please put the heel on just for me.”'
Couture to comfort: Kristen Stewart (pictured over the weekend) has become as well-known for her role as Twilight's Bella as she has for wearing ratty sneakers with her thousand-dollar red carpet gowns
'[Kristen] will always change into her Converse by halfway through a carpet, which is to be expected at this point, but she puts on the heels for me for the photos, God bless her.
'I clearly prefer heel. But it’s part of her personality; I think it’s fun when she does it.'
Responsible for each look that Miss Stewart walks on the Twilight publicity circuits, Ms Sweenen revealed the method behind her madness.

Who need a heel The actress visited the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last week and promptly discarded her stiletto pumps while on the show
'Just recently, she’s embraced doing the long-gown thing, so it was definitely an opportunity for me to stick as many as I could on her,' she said of Miss Stewart's recent floor-length numbers.
'We just wanted to make a grand escape, I guess, rather than a grand entrance. And through the years, she’s come into her own, and so now she’s letting me play a little bit more.
'She’s grown into being more comfortable on the red carpet; she’s definitely embracing elegance and gracefulness. Obviously I’ve been able to push more on her, but I think her confidence level is really the thing that’s changed the most over the years.'
Signature sneakers: Miss Stewart's stylist admitted, 'I clearly prefer heel. But [the sneaker] is part of her personality; I think it’s fun when she does it'
The stylist also commented on Nicolas Ghesquiere‘s recent departure from Balenciaga, and how it will affect Miss Stewart's red carpet get-ups – which are almost always Balenciaga.
She said: 'I still love the brand, I will continue to pull it, and [Kristen] will continue to wear it. We have a wonderful relationship with Nicolas, and that won’t change either.
'We still have one more [Balenciaga] look that I’d love to get on her.'
