Kelly Osbourne today revealed how difficult it has been to accept that she is now slender.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning, Kelly said she would always be an FFP – a Former Fat Person.

'When you see yourself in a certain way, that never changes,' she said. 'People who
are larger and then they lose weight, you will always look in the mirror and see yourself as
that fat girl, no matter what happens.

'I don't see myself as that any more, but I did used to be 65lbs heavier.

Kelly told Holly and Phil on This Morning that once women have been larger, they will always look in the mirror and see that 'fat girl'. RIGHT: Kelly revealed she was beyond excited to be working with Joan Rivers on Fashion Police

'I get this every single day: “Oh
you're so much skinnier and prettier in real life.” I'm like, oh thank
you, what a compliment. Have a nice day.'

Kelly says she has never felt like the most beautiful girl around –
something that means she has struggled to fit in in Los Angeles where
looks are traded upon like currency.

'It's more competitive there – but I don't feed into that ever because I
don't want to be the prettiest girl in the room. That's not me,' she says.

'That's why I don't fit in in the U.S. – because I don't care about that kind of stuff.

'I have
tried hard to be a million different people and it didn't work out for me. The only thing I can be is me.

'I have been to hell and back – 17 times in my life,' she says.

'It just… you gotta start living
life on life's terms. It isn't perfect. Things come your way. You have to see it as a lesson. You have
to make mistakes and learn from
them. It's the only way to grow.

Kelly says that her brother Jack, who
was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, has been a real
inspiration to her in that sense.

'He has been a real lesson,' she says. 'His baby is a miracle – we all call her Pearl the Miracle.

'And I want to thank all the people who have sent good wishes – you have no
idea how much it helps.

'He's amazing – I don't understand the way he is.

'I wish I could be more like Jack. Changing
the way he eats, what he does – and he's the best father ever. His future
wife Lisa is the best mum. They are so happy.'

Kelly also told Holly and Phil that she
was looking forward to having her mother back now that Sharon is leaving
the panel on America's Got Talent as it moves to New York

'You will
never find love until you let someone treat you the way you deserve to be
treated. That's something I learned the hard way,'

'I'm happy my mum is going to be leaving,' she said. 'I mean, it's bad she won't be working there any more, but I get my mum back – I'm so excited.'

Kelly was coy when gently probed about her relationship with her boyfriend, 28-year-old vegan Matthew Mosshart, whom she is said to have met in 2011 at Kate Moss's wedding.

'I'm very happy in my life – never been happier.

'One thing I will say, you will
never find love until you let someone treat you the way you deserve to be
treated. That's something I learned the hard way.'

Even in her polished incarnation as catwalk queen though, Kelly suffers
fashion faux pas – not least last week at New York Fashion Week when she was papped outside the venue with sweat patches under her arms.

Kelly, accompanied by boyfriend Matthew Mosshart, attempted to reach her waiting taxi without revealing the sweat patches under her arms...

... but at the last minute slipped up and the paps got the shot of her armpits

Mortified: Thanks to the lack of air conditioning and the 100 degree heat, Kelly overheated during Fashion Week – and attempted to hide the sweat patches – but slipped up at the last minute and the waiting paps got the picture. 'I was like, damn it, why me!' she said

'I was wearing an orange suit, it was 100 degrees in
the tents and there was no air conditioning,' she said.' I was sitting there talking about fashion and just sweating.

'Then I was trying to walk
towards my car with my arms stuck to my sides, then as I got there I
pointed, saying, “there's the car!” and they got the photo. There it was, “fashion no-no
sweat!”. I was like, damn it, why me!'
