Katy Perry has always come across as a fun loving artist dressing in bubblegum colours and prancing around the stage.
But it seems the Fireworks singer is a bit of a diva at heart, as has been showcased in her concert rider which has recently been published.
The 26-year-old is currently on her California Dreams 2011 World Tour and her demands gives an insight into what goes on behind the scenes for the songstress who is married to British actor Russell Brand.
Requests: Katy Perry”s concert rider has been published which shows her diva demands while she is currently on her California Dreams World Tour
One whole sheet of the 45-page rider is dedicated to whomever is driving her around the various cities around the world.
The chauffeur is only allowed to speak when spoken to and is not permitted to start a conversation with the star. He or she is also told not to stare at Perry through the rear view mirror.
Also on Katy”s “don”t do” list is to under any circumstances have carnations in her dressing room.
Her space at the venue, according to the rider, should be able to comfortably accommodate six to 10 visitors.
It also has to be decorated in pink and cream and have lots of fresh flowers but there is one thing that is clear – there must be “ABSOLUTELYNO CARNATIONS”.
Brave: Katy bungee jumped off the Auckland Bridge in Australia earlier this month while there on her tour
Although she is not a big drinker while on tour, the only alcohol requested is two bottles of Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio.
And for snacking she only wants organic fruits and vegetables that have been “properly sanitised”.
While staying overnight in in cities, she also has to stay in luxury.
Perryinsists on being booked into the presidential suite of a five star hotel and also need five junior suites and 45 single rooms.
But those in the know in the music industry are most interested in the fact that Perry”s people reserve the right to have the venue hold back some of the concert tickets so they can move them through “resellers”, according to Radar Online.
Meanwhile, Perry is reportedly not very happy that her mother is writinga memoir to include her resentment of her daughter”s “risqu” performances.
Not happy: Katy Perry is reportedly upset that her mother Mary Hudson is writing a tell all book about her (pictured with her husband Russell Brand and father Keith Hudson)
Mary Hudson writes in the book: “Katy stepped out from behind the changing doors in a tiny risque costume. No mother wants to see the top of her daughter”s boobs.”
Hudson, who is a Christian evangelist pastor also has an issue with the lyrics in Perry”s songs.
“I recognised the psalmist gift in her performance. Yet she sang out, “I kissed a girl and I liked it” while thousands joined her.
“One part of my heart soared… the other part broke for the thousands of hungry souls being fed something that didn”t nourish their spirit but fed their flesh.”
However, although she is penning about her unhappiness of some of her daughter”s actions, Hudson insists her book is not a tell all but is a “Christian faith book”.
But Perry”s father Keith Hudson says he does not want there to be a rift in his family.
“The situation has caused quite a bit of tension. I don”t want that anymore,” he told Star magazine.
