For her stage shows, Katy Perry is known for putting on a fabulous performance – with her costumes and make-up all adding to the effect.
But the 27-year-old singer appeared to have decided to try out her stage look during the day, as she arrived for an interview on BBC Radio 1 in London this morning with a full face of make-up which looked unsuitable for the daytime.
Katy appeared to have caked on heavy foundation and concealer, teamed with heavy eyeliner, eyeshadow and fake lashes as she arrived at the studios.

Not exactly fresh-faced! Katy teamed her heavy foundation with lots of eye-make-up and fake lashes
To top off her eye-catching look, Katy
wore her blue hair in a blunt bob, and donned a bodycon black and gold
dress by Emilio Pucci with opaque tights and heels.
What a difference: Katy's estranged husband Russell Brand posted a picture of her make-up free last year
Katy has been working hard promoting her latest single Part Of Me throughout the world, and her visit to Radio 1 was just the latest.
Talking to Chris Moyles about her England trip, Katy said she stays grounded because she always had her friends to accompany her on trips abroad.
She said: 'I bring my friends with me
everywhere. That's my favourite luxury to have. They are so solid and
centred and don't give a c*** about the hubbub that goes on.
'I don't have fast friends. I don't
have a lot of those. I'm guarded for all the right reasons. People want
to be your mate, your chum, but they have to earn it with me.'
Katy also added that she loves her
British 'Katy Cats', saying: 'I love the people of England, they're so
lovely, they care, they mean well.
'Maybe they talk c*** behind your back, but they're so sweet to your face.'
Katy later performed during Radio 1's Live Lounge, treating fans to a rendition of the controversial Jay Z and Kanye West collaboration N****s in Paris.'
However, instead of using the proper song lyrics, Katy exchanged the word for ninjas.
While Katy is doing her best to promote her solo material at the moment, it was recently reported that she is planning to team up with best friend Rihanna on a new track.
Rihanna was quoted as telling Theglobalgrind.com: 'We have been working on this for years. We still are trying to make a song together. She is one of my favorite musicians, as well as one of my favorite people in the industry.
'Katy is very uncalculated, very sure of herself, and that's something very rare in this industry to find. The song will probably come out in a while. I won't say that it's happening right now, but it's going to happen.'
