She”s breathed new life into the retro pin-up look.
But Katy Perry does a good job of hiding her beauty away in the artwork for her new single, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)
The brunette swaps her favourite skin tight latex outfits for a geeky Eighties inspired persona.
Back to the Eighties: Katy Perry shows off her new look in the artwork for her new single Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)
With braces on her teeth, dayglo triangle earrings, lashings of eyeliner and mascara and oversized glasses, Katy does a good job of transforming herself into the high school geek.
The song is the fifth single off the 26-year-old singer’s latest record, Teenage Dream.
“I told someone about my new music video I just filmed & they responded with ‘wow, that’s gonna break the internet’…should I knock on wood” she wrote on her Twitter account earlier in the month.

Katy has proved before that she isn”t afraid to play with her looks, with dressing as a geeky high school student proving one of her favourite disguises.
Looking good: Katy has redefined the pin-up girl look
She modelled it for the first time at last year”s Teen Choice Awards, and has returned to the look several times.
In keeping with her high school persona she tweeted today: “In middle school they called me “over the shoulder boulder holder” now they call me “hot””
Katy is currently in Japan with her California Dreams tour.
At the weekend her husband Russell Brand was deported due to his previous criminal history, according to a tweet from the star.
Brand, who married the California Gurls singer last year, has battleddrug and alcohol addiction and has been arrested multiple times, most recently for an alleged attack on the paparazzi at a Los Angeles airportin 2010.
On Sunday, Brand took a more ironic view of his troubles in Japan.
“Planning escape from Japanese custody. It”s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick,” he wrote on his Twitter page, which was accompanied by a photo he appeared to have taken of himself in a drab room with a clock on the wall.
That was followed by the Twitter message, “Stockholm syndrome kickingin. Just asked my guard out for (vegetarian) sushi. He giggled.”
Katy continued her tour in Japan as planned.
The couple married last year and have quickly become one of Hollywood”s most high profile couples.
