Katie Price has split from her Argentinian boyfriend of two years Leandro Penna.

The glamour model took to her blog to announce the 'sad' news on Tuesday evening after attending the Skyfall premiere in London.

She first notified her fans she had something to announce as she wrote on her Twitter page: 'Its sad to announce,' before posting a link to her own website.

The link lead fans to a written announcement revealing she had called it a day with Leandro.

A representative for Katie wrote: 'Despite remaining firm friends and having a deep affection for each other Kate and Leo have decided to separate.'

Price then claimed the reason for the split is merely because it has 'run it's course.'

She added: 'Leo and I have had a lovely fun time for a couple of years, we will always feel deep affection for each other, but sometimes relationships just run their course.

'Pressures of work on different continents, natural demands of family ties, and careers, have meant we have spent a huge amount of time apart even when we were in the same country. This meant it was difficult for the relationship to move forward.'

Showing there are no hard feelings she concluded: 'Accordingly we've mutually decided to call it a day, but we really wish each other nothing but the very best and will remain best of friends, whoever he eventually settles down with will be a very lucky girl.'

Just hours before Katie took to the internet to announce the news she stepped out to show Penna what he would be missing.

She was at the Skyfall premiere checking out the latest Bond movie and stood out thanks to her choice of gown.

Katie wore a black frock which showed off her bare back while she stood out thanks to her over-the-knee boots.

But her night didn't go as smoothly as she would have perhaps liked.

The reality TV star was reportedly chucked off the red carpet initially, reportedly because she tried to appear in front of the crowd at the same time as Prince Charles.

And her break-up comes as she's had to dispel speculation her split was contributed to thanks to alleged flirty messages between herself and The X Factor's Dan Ferrari-Lane.

Denials: She also took the opportunity to rubbish reports she has been sending flirty messages to The X Factor's Dan Ferrari-Lane from group District3, dispelling speculation it contributed to the break-up

According to the Sunday Mirror, the 34-year-old had been sending coquettish text messages to 18-year-old from the show's band District3.

But she also took the opportunity to rubbish the reports as she announced the split.

She wrote: 'Quite separately, it is unfortunate that this separation coincides with some utterly ridiculous and silly stories about a boy band member.

'This has nothing to do with the ending of Kate and Leo's relationship and her contact with the boy band member has been entirely innocent and platonic.

'It is shame that certain magazines are seeking to make more of it.'
