Talk about a chilly encounter.

Arriving at the launch of Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland on Thursday night, Katie Price was stunned to see her ex Leandro Penna.

The pair have become embroiled in a bitter war of words since their break-up, and it looks like Katie and her former fiance aren't thawing their relationship anytime soon.

He recently claimed she is desperate to be a WAG and is jealous of friend Danielle O'Hara because of her 'safe' WAG lifestyle.

He also claimed to Reveal Magazine that she has no talent and shouldn't even be a celebrity.

Katie was pictured at the event with her daughter, and looked delighted to be there, joking with her child as they larked about with an Ice Age character.

Penna was pictured at the event by himself, and at one point he snuggled up to Santa Claus.

We're not sure Katie will think he's been a good boy this year following their split.

There were a host of big names at the Hyde Park festival, including Rod Stewart.

The 67-year-old took his wife, their two children and other family members to the opening night launch party for the annual outdoor winter festival.

They looked like any other normal couple enjoying a festive day out as they made their way through the winter spectacular.

Rode looked smart in a thick jacket, shirt and tie, while wife Penny Lancaster kept herself wrapped up in a scarf and jacket.

The pair were joined a host of children – including their six-year-old son Alastair and their one year old baby boy Aiden.

They weren't the only ones attending the event.

Fellow rocker Noel Gallagher was there with his family.

The former Oasis star joined in with the festive fun with wife Sara Macdonald and son Sonny.

A selection of this year's X Factor stars were at the festive bash.

James Arthur seems to be back in fine spirits after he just avoided a shock departure on last week's show.

He seemed calm and composed as he dropping in for a visit at the event – which boasts an ice rink and a huge observation rink.

The band smiled happily as they posed for photos – with adoring teen girls delighted to see their new pop idols at the event.

Melanie Masson was voted off the hit show, but the singer looked keen to get to grips with Santa.

Perhaps she was asking for Santa for a hit single.
