Katie Holmes proves cheap can be chic as she wows in $70 dress from Narciso Rodriguez for Kohl's line

She is often seen decked out in her own label Holmes and Yang, with price points starting at $700 and ranging to $3,000.
But at the launch party for Kohl's Narciso Rodriguez collection, Katie Holmes swapped her usual high-end outfits for a $70 fitted little black dress.
Proving fast fashion doesn't have to look low-budget, the 33-year-old actress looked stunning in the ruched frock from the designer's new Kohl's line, available to the public on November 7th.

Ms Holmes, who is mid rehearsals for her new Broadway show, Dead Accounts, paired the long-sleeved dress with nude Loeffler Randall pumps, adding a few extra inches to her five-foot-nine frame.
Also gracing the red carpet is the collection's low-priced looks was Emma Roberts, in a $60 colorblocked dress, and Julianna Margulies, whose black-and-white number retails for $64.
Miss Roberts, 21, tweeted after the launch Monday night: 'This collection is amazing and crazy affordable. Loving @Kohls Narciso for DesigNation!'
The line features luxurious-looking knits and sleek dresses inspired by Istanbul, ranging in price from $30 to $150.

Mr Rodriguez, who routinely dresses
A-list celebrities in show-stopping, colourful gowns for the
red-carpet, joined forces with Kohl's in June to begin working on the collection.
Bringing his niche brand to a far
broader audience, Mr Rodriguez is the first designer to participate in
Kohl’s brand new, and ongoing collaboration programme, called Design
Giving the Macy’s and Target high-low collaborations a run for their money, Design Nation enables designers like Mr Rodriguez to travel to a city of their choice in search of inspiration for a month-long capsule collection.

Mr Rodriguez, whose dresses are favoured by Michelle Obama, Jessica Alba, and Claire Danes, chose Istanbul as his city of inspiration.
