'I'm just a normal girl': Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain plays down her movie star status as she insists she's nothing special
She only burst onto the Hollywood scene last year but has landed herself a coveted Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
But Jessica Chastain had insisted that she is just a 'normal girl' who never sought out fame and fortune.
And the stunning redhead also played down her striking good looks and said she doesn't think she is 'gorgeous'.

Jessica, 30, is nominated for the Academy Award for her role as Celia Foote in The Help, alongside her co-star Octavia Spencer, who plays Minny Jackson in the big screen adaptation of Kathryn Stockett's best-selling book.
She also won much acclaim for her parts in Tree Of Life and Take Shelter for her lead role in Al Pacino's docu-drama Wilde Salome.
But speaking to AnOther Magazine, Jessica said despite her meteoric rise to fame, she expects the bubble to burst at any moment.

Physically she was referring to her trip to Cannes this summer to promote Tree of Life, in which she stars alongside Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.
She said: 'At Cannes, everyone kept talking about the stairs. Oh my gosh, I was convinced: I'm going to trip on those stairs.'

And she said that she always knew she was going to work in the industry and said: 'I'm not talking about the fame. But I knew I was going to be an actor … But I would be really
happy doing plays off Broadway for hardly any money.
Jessica is a natural redhead but plays a platinum blonde in The Help and has been heralded on the cover of magazines for her striking looks.
But she insists she's not as gorgeous as people think and said: 'I'm not the normal idea of what a gorgeous woman is. I don't look modern.
'There's nothing about me that makes you think, “movie star”. I'm just this normal girl.'
