As a millionaire race car driving legend, many would consider dating Jenson Button to be the golden ticket.
He's got the looks, the style and 50m in the bank.
But his model girlfriend Jessica Michibata isn't impressed by him for these reasons, and she is the one who sits in the driving seat of their relationship.
In the driving seat: Jessica remains independent despite her fast-paced relationship with race driving hero, Jenson Button
Contrary to popular WAG belief, the 27-year-old had forged her career long before she met Jenson, and she has no intention of sacrificing it to follow her boyfriend around the world.
Speaking to Grazia magazine she admitted she was a WAG: 'Definitely, I love to be there for Jenson.'
But the gorgeous brunette, whose mother is Japanese and father half-Spanish, maintains that she is not the typical WAG that may be found on the side of the football pitch.
'The football WAGs are amazing with all that hair done up, huge heels and the tans. We're not so…glamorous' she told Grazia.
The simple life: The couple spend as much time as possible together doing simple things like cooking and dining out
Counting Lewis Hamilton's girlfriend Nicole Sherzinger as one of her closest pals, Jessica also hangs out with Paul Di Resta's girlfriend Laura Jordan and Heikki Kovalainen's partner Catherine.
But life wasn't always so glamorous for the model, who was born in Fukui near Kyoto. At school, her and her two now-model sisters were once bullied for their differing looks.
In Japan today, Jessica is notorious for her jaw-dropping looks, and she can add Uniqlo, Reebok and Japan's answer to Victoria's Secret, Peach John to her portfolio of work.
She met Jenson in 2008 in a hotel bar in Tokyo and originally perceived him to be a player, turning his first offer of a date down.
Weekend breaks: Jenson often whisks Jessica off on romantic weekend breaks across the world
Precious moments: The couple work with each others diaries to make their schedules match
Eight months later she finally gave in to his pursuits but she made sure she didn't rush into anything.
Jenson was at the lowest point in his career after finishing 18th in the championship and being dropped by sponsor Honda, but that didn't stop their relationship going from strength to strength.
The couple would spend their evenings cooking Japanese food together and talking about Jessica's native country, and her family quickly became avid fans of him.
Jessica realised how strong his love for her was in 2009 when he took the title of Formula One World Champion in Brazil and dedicated the win to her, live on TV.
WAG: Jessica is close friends with the drivers and their partners but wouldn't class herself as a typical WAG
She was watching on a TV in Japan and he even missed his own victory party to call her in celebration.
However, two years down the line their relationship broke down because of the long distance and Jenson desperately wanted Jessica to give up her career to be with him along the way.
During their time apart they spoke constantly and had rekindled the love six months later.
Determined not to give up her career, the couple now work hard to make their diaries match and Jessica flies to his races whenever she can and spends an increasing amount of time at his home in Monaco where her boyfriend often whisks her off for romantic weekend breaks.
But the couple won't be rushing into marriage anytime soon.
'Oh, I think we're very happy as we are,' the model told Grazia.
