'I saved my first kiss for the man I was going to marry': Olympic archer Jennifer Nichols on being a virgin

With the London Olympics fast approaching, Jennifer Nichols is bang on target when it comes to her archery career.
And it seems she is a straight shooter when it comes to her love life too.
In a new interview, the 28-year-old, from Wyoming, has opened up about her decision to remain celibate before marriage, and why she didn't even kiss a man for the first time until she was 27.

Miss Nichols, who shared that kiss with fianc Chris Hardy, 25, is a devout Christian and says she made the decision to save her first kiss when she was just 13.

The pair will marry later this year, once the Olympics are over.

But given that Miss Nichols is so busy training, Mr Hardy has taken on much of the planning of their wedding, due to take place later this year.

Miss Nichols is not the first Olympian to speak out about her celibacy. Model hurdling star Lolo Jones has admitted that she cannot find a boyfriend because she is a virgin.
The 29-year-old told HBO's Real Sports in May that many potential boyfriends are put off by her beliefs.
'When I was 22, 24, it was cute,' she
said. 'But 24 to 29, it's not cute. You get judged a lot, a lot of guys
won't return your calls after they find out.'
