It's wonderful to see how much actress Jennifer Garner relishes her role as mother.
Jennifer, 40, brought her seven-month-old baby Samuel with her on a grocery shopping trip on September 22 and cooed over him the whole time.
The star arrived at Gelson's supermarket in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades well-equipped with baby essentials.
Baby love: Jennifer Garner brought baby son, Samuel, seven months, with her to Gelson's supermarket in L.A.'s Pacific Palisades on September 22
Jennifer had baby Sam in one arm and blue blanket and large blue bag looped over the other arm.
The wife of actor Ben Affeck was comfortably covered in long-sleeved navy top, dark blue jeans and sneakers.
Her long hair was tied up in a ponytail, far from her baby's grasping reach.
What's so funny: Jennifer shares a laugh with son, Samuel, in the grocery aisle
Little Samuel looked adorable in a pale-colored one-piece and was taking everything in with his wondering gaze.
Once they were inside, Jennifer gently secured Sam in the cart seat.
It's clear Jennifer loves being a mom – she kept cooing and talking to Samuel in the shopping aisles.
Samuel is Jennifer's third child – but first son – with husband Affleck.
Doting mom: Jennifer clearly adores her son, Samuel, her first son with husband Ben Affleck. They already have two daughters, Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3
The couple also has two daughters, Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3.
Jennifer was actually pregnant with Sam when she completed work on her latest movie, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which was released in August.
The former Alias star raved about her new son during a promotional appearance on David Letterman's late-night talk show last month.
'(It's) like it's some huge accomplishment, I switched the gender. He is so delicious,' Jennifer said.
Baby's day out: Jennifer's son, Samuel, looks a bit tuckered after his trip to the supermarket
Jennifer further added, 'I just have him with me on this trip to New York, I left the girls at home with their father.
'It is so easy, such heaven, just one little baby. Smiley happy, in the middle of the night, no problem, happy to see you.'
Jennifer often spends quality one-on-one time with her children, as she did with Seraphina on September 20.
Mother and daughter enjoyed an afternoon shopping at the Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles.
Jennifer even treated her middle child to a green lollipop – and it must have been tempting because Jen got one too.
