Superstar: Lana Del Rey, pictured above at London's Lovebox Festival last week, is rumoured to be the new face of H&M
Lana Del Rey has been chasing a career in fashion for as long as her music has been popular.
Now it seems that the 26-year-old singer, who signed on as a model with Next Model Management in January, has landed her first major fashion campaign.
The New York Post claimed that the attractive red-head has signed a contract to become the face of retail giant H&M.
A source told the paper: 'She's shooting an H&M campaign in New York.'
A representative for the chain store did not deny the claim but told MailOnline that 'H&M does not comment on rumours'.
However, if the rumour turned out to be true, it would not be the first big-name fashion brand to approve of the singer's good looks and fashion sense.
The New York-based star, who sported a sky-high beehive during a performance at last week's Lovebox Festival in London, was the inspiration behind a handbag by Mulberry earlier this year.
She collaborated with the British label on The Del Rey, a handbag that mimics its famous Bayswater bag.
The Del Rey, which hit shelves earlier this week, even comes in four separate colours.
The singer, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, was given her own white version of the design which she has been spotted carrying on several occasions.
Her fashion sense often takes its cue from popular Fifties and Sixties Americana trends, such as the beehive which was made famous in the early Sixties.

Despite being widely criticised over a dull musical performance on Saturday Night Live in January, her songs have also impressed influential designers.
Christopher Kane played her hit Video Games on repeat during his fall 2012 collection show at London Fashion Week in February.
The singer also attended the fashion industry's answer to the Oscars, the Met Gala, in May.
She has also appeared on multiple magazine covers including those of British Vogue and French Glamour and has also appeared in photo spreads inside V, i-D and Vogue Japan.
The singer was last photographed shopping at
Cesare Paciotti in Milan just a few days ago, coincidentally at the same
time as American actress Tara Reid and a mystery man.
