Cat Deeley's girl-next-door charm has won her an army of admirers on both sides of the Atlantic, and who wouldn't want to live next door to this amazing Hollywood home
The So You Think You Can Dance host opened the doors of her dazzling LA house to fashion magazine InStyle this month showing off an eclectic style that is pure boho chic.
Cat completely renovated the seventies house after buying it six years ago following a difficult break-up and is proud to say that she didn't use an interior designer, instead picking up furniture and knick-knacks at local flea markets or from her travels around the globe.
The master bedroom of Cat Deeley's LA home features a white leather bed, mirrored furniture… and her dog Lilly
Cat says: 'I want my home to be like a diary. Your home should reflect your travels and history.'
And her three-bedroomed home reflects this jet-setting hippy chick brilliantly.
A grand piano sits next to a zebra
head, Mexican blankets are piled high on the bright wicker chairs around
the glittering swimming pool and mirrored furniture adds a vintage vibe to her bedroom.
Cat loves entertaining her Brit pack friends at her home in the hills: her Swiss seventies sofa seats a dozen people at a time
The sleek kitchen of the Southern
Californian home has been designed so that the 35-year-old can watch the
sun set over Beverly Hills as she cooks dinner, there is a free-standing bath in the master bathroom for the presenter to relax in after another hectic day.
The fashion fan has turned her garage
in to wardrobe space and has a dedicated getting-ready-to-go-out area
that would make Carrie Bradshaw green with envy.
And it's no surprise that the social
star -whose famous friends include Keira Knightley and king of boho chic
Matthew Williamson as well as her presenter boyfriend Patrick Kielty –
loves entertaining: her leather Swiss eventie sofa is big enough to seat
The presenter has filled the house and garden with hippy chic furniture from flea markets around the globe
She says: 'It's my little hippy hideaway and a commune for my gypsy friends,
'There's constantly someone in my
spare room which was kind of the idea behind the house: to make it so
relaxed that no one ever wants to leave.
Eilidh MacAskill, the editor of InStyle says:
'Cat's LA home is a great reflection of her own personal style – effortless, eclectic and girlie.'
