Miss Kloss was about to walk out onto his runway wearing a long, difficult to walk in dress, which she was concerned might snag on her shoes.

The model said that McQueen told her, just before she walked: 'Don’t worry, Karlie; if it does, just take it off and throw it, throw the dress. Remember -YOU own the dress, the dress does not own you!'

She added: 'It was a moment I will never forget.'

When queried about her dream job if she weren't modelling, she replied she would want to be a doctor, like her father.

She said: 'I think to have the skill set and
the ability to physically help others in matters of life and death must
be incredibly empowering. Plus, I love kids, so ideally something in
the field of pediatrics.'

Most people are forever curious about how she attains her svelte, athletic body, so the standard inquisitive 'tricks of the trade' questions were thrown in for good measure.

Miss Kloss tells it as it is – she's athletic, and has always been.

She admitted: 'I did every sport under the sun while growing up. I studied classical ballet and dance for years, and I continue to always be very active. Whether running, biking, swimming, or dancing, I just like to always be on the move.'

Which item in her closet she most cherishes drew a candid response: 'My Dior bag from John Galliano. He gave it to me after we shot my first campaign with Steven Meisel, and I cried when I opened it.

'It is the most beautiful, timeless Dior bag. It is such a special reminder of that time in my career; someday I will give it to my daughter,' she said.

And in case you were interested in the more mundane moments of the model's life, she drinks 'decaf Americano with steamed milk and vanilla syrup', she can't live without Labello chapstick and was wearing Silver by Minx stick on her nails during the interview.

'It looks like I have aluminum foil on my fingertips!' she exclaimed.

And if you thought food wasn't part of her body's athletic equation, the three items she always keeps in her purse are all food orientated.

'Spearmint gum, dark chocolate, and some kind of delicious snack,' she said.

'You can always count on me to have something to eat in my purse, especially backstage – I generally have just about everything except the kitchen sink hidden in my bag,' she said.

The line that sums the successful model up most of all though, was her response to the question: 'How do you say hello where you’re from'

She replied: 'Wazzzzz up (Just kidding!)'
