Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has revealed how hard she must work to maintain that slender, TV-friendly figure, as well as family life.
In a new interview the 41-year-old explains that the demands of her job mean that there is little time to hit the gym, so she must be careful about what she eats.
'Some things are worth the fat and calories, although I have to watch it like a hawk,' she admits to the new issue of People magazine.
Calorie-counting: Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly admits she must watch what she eats as she has no time to work out
'I used to be able to work out, but these days there is literally no time.'
Indeed, any spare second, she will spend with Yates, three, and Yardley, 17 months, her two children with husband Douglas Brunt, who she wed four years ago.
Precious time: Any spare second, Ms Kelly will spend with son Yates, three, and daughter Yardley, 17 months
She will even take the youngsters on work trips away from home, such as the Iowa caucus, for that very reason.
'I get to spend extra time with them that
way,' she explained. 'I'm not doing it to try to prove a point. I'm doing it because I'm
committed to the job, but my family still comes first.'
But despite her efforts, it seems she suffers from the same pangs of guilt as every other working mother.
Mr Brunt, 41, told the magazine:
'She's got the whole superwoman thing down, but she feels that guilt
that a lot of working mothers have.
'If she ever misses something funny that the kids say or do, she really beats herself up.'
Ms Kelly will admit as much herself – not that she lets it stop her from aiming high in every aspect of her life.
'I always feel I want more time with my kids, but I reject the notion that you can't have it all,' she said.
'I think you can, just not necessarily in abundance.'
