'I thought he was joking': Gaby Roslin gets engaged to publisher boyfriend David Osman

Gaby Roslin announced today that she is engaged to her long-term boyfriend David Osman.
The TV presenter revealed on live television that the publisher got down on one knee in front of her daughters and popped the question.
She was a guest on ITV's daytime show Loose Women when she flashed her engagement ring and broke the news.

Speaking to presenters Jane McDonald, Carol McGiffin, Andrea McLean and Denise Welch, she said: 'Three weeks ago David proposed. I’ve been there before and I’m a
divorcee. David and I have been together for six and a half years so we’ve
been together a little while now.
'It was very romantic and we were on
holiday. We went down to the beach with the girls, looking at the stars.
Suddenly all three of us are standing there and he
went down on one knee and said would you do me the honour of being my
wife and I thought he was joking.

'I said “oh, go on” and he said “no,
will you” and the girls were screaming and I screamed.'
But she added that they were in no rush to walk down the aisle and will get married next year.
Gaby, 47, who shot to fame in 1992 when she co-presented The Big Breakfast with Chris Evans, and Osman got together about a year or so after she divorced her first husband, musician Colin Peel in 2004.
She has a daughter, Libbi-Jack, ten, with Peel, and another, Amelie, five, with Osman.
