Fresh from wrapping up Juno writer Diablo Cody's newest film, Miss Hough has been working alongside Hollywood power players Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin.
Yet the Utah-born celebrity has not been jaded by a often aggressive industry thanks, it seems, to her devout upbringing and the lessons she has learned from the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Striking: In a stunning white Grecian-inspired dress standing against a backdrop of vivid orange, the young starlet looked every inch the glamourous Hollywood diva
Blooming gorgeous: The actress poses for cameras in front of a pretty bush of roses wearing a scarlet full-length gown
In her interview with Zooey, the
actress opened up about her Mormon childhood and the way in which it has
influenced her adult life.
'Now I’m older and I almost
appreciate it more,' she explained. 'I've modified it to fit my
lifestyle but it taught me great morals and principals. It gave me a
sense of what it means to be a nice person, to be humble, what it means
to be grateful and a desire to service people.'
Sweet: The 23-year-old may be a screen star but her Mormon roots keep her grounded she says

starlet looked every inch the glamourous Hollywood diva however.
In another shot, wearing a patterned
billowing short frock and floppy sun hat, Miss Hough's bright red lips
elevated the look from hippy chic to sexy siren.
Photographers snapped as she posed in a scarlet full-length gown in front of a blooming rose bush.
But despite the stylised theme of the shoot Miss Hough maintained a light-humoured and youthful attitude.
When asked whether Mormons really do have ten wives she laughed.
'No. It is community based though. I think about when I have kids and how I want to raise them. I really love how their community is and how everyone looks out for each other.'
Admitting she loved the Broadway musical Book of Mormon she said: 'It was absolutely outstanding. Very crude and disturbing and out there, but it was hilarious.
'There are things that are very true that they made fun of but in the end there's a good message that no matter what you believe in, as long as it gives you hope and makes you a better person, then it's worth fighting for.'
