With the Oscars and Golden Globes done and dusted, other ceremonies may fail to entice interest.

Yet Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox made every attempt to brighten up the BAFTA Video Games Awards.

The British actress, 28, attended the event at the London Hilton wearing a floor-length gown with a black train on the lower body and a white plunging neckline above her navel.

While she appeared to have more
interest in fashion and beauty, it seems the British Soap Awards nominee
is actually a keen gamer.

Tweeting from the event, hosted by Dara O'Briain, she wrote:
'Got me some @Xbox and @streetfighter love from @CelebrityGaming chick
flicks on Netflix for me. #gamehardorgameover.'

Also flying the flag in the glamour
stakes, disproving video games are solely for angsty teenage boys who
can't get girlfriends, was Sky Sports News presenter Charlotte Jackson.

The 32-year-old blonde opted for a Grecian goddess creation, slipping into a gold Pia Michi gown.

She excitedly tweeted a picture of The Saturdays performing, notably minus new mother Una Healy.

her first child Aoife on Tuesday, was gutted to have missed the
performance, writing on the social networking site: 'Miss my
@TheSaturdays girls, first show I have ever missed since being in the
band:( Have a great show but (don't be too good without me);P'

Meanwhile, Jonathan Ross' wife Jane Goldman provided a splash of colour with her bright red hair.
