'Help me, Phil': EastEnders' Sharon Watts causes a stir as she arrives back in Walford in a hysterical state after having jilted her fiance

She's never been one to shy away from drama, and Sharon Watts' long-awaited return to EastEnders will most certainly cause a stir in Walford.
The bolshie blonde, played by actress Letitia Dean, will stun her former flame Phil Mitchell when she arrives on his doorstep in a hysterical state next month.
After a furious bust-up on their wedding day, Sharon's fianc has kidnapped her son, Dennis Jnr, her child from her brief marriage to Dennis Rickman – played by Nigel Harman – who was killed off the soap on New Year's Day 2006.

Unsure where to turn, a devastated Sharon seeks help from Phil in scenes which will play out in seven episodes over the course of a week.
As the pair make their way to what was supposed to be Sharon's wedding reception, they are greeted by her furious fianc, played by Footballers' Wives star Jesse Birdsall.
According to leaked reports, Dennis Jnr is taken on Sharon's wedding day.
But EastEnders bosses are keeping tight-lipped about the argument which leads to the groom snatching the boy.

A show insider recently told the Daily Star: 'Sharon’s back and is in serious trouble. She knows that when things are this bad there is only one person she can turn to and Phil’s happy to help.'
The return to Albert Square marks the third time Letitia Dean, 44, has come back to the soap.
She was one of the original characters and appeared in the very first episode on February 19 1985, and was introduced as Queen Victoria landlords Angie and Dennis Watts' adopted daughter.

She was involved in many scandalous
storylines but her affair with brother-in-law Phil when she was married to
Grant Mitchell – played by Ross Kemp – proved to be ratings gold.
leaving in 1994, she returned again in 2001 to take over the pub and
was in the Square until 2006 when she left following the stabbing of
Dennis, who died in her arms.
Sharon's dramatic scenes will be screened in the week commencing August 13.
