Kimye: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have become a fashion power couple, seen here leaving the Louis Vuitton boutique opening on July 3 in Paris
For all her curves, reality television appearances and high-profile marriages, Kim Kardashian has never been known, or taken seriously for, her fashion sense. That is, until she met Kayne West.
Since the 31-year-old first landed on our screens in 2007, she has gone from a sex-tape star, to a mainstream reality TV personality, and Kris Humphries' ex-wife; titles she has embraced while clad in tastelessly colourful dresses, micro-miniskirts and cleavage baring low cut tops.
Now, jaunting around Paris couture fashion week, Kim is trying on a high-fashion hat for size, thanks to her new relationship with the infamous rapper and his obvious influence on her carefully curated ensembles.
Reminiscent of Victoria Beckham's
fashion overhaul, easily one of the most seamless celebrity career and
style transitions recorded, Kim has successfully said goodbye to her cleavage and
embraced her curves with entirely new demurely sexy wardrobe.
her pout, heavy mascara and voluptuous figure remain; gone are the
colourful dresses, plunging necklines, curled hair extensions and
leopard print platform heels. She is taking this fashion thing
She has swapped colour and animal prints
for a subdued, but punchy, monochrome palette; her plunging necklines
have been replaced with consistent collar-bone skimming necklines; and
her hair, now sleek and straight, pulled back or classically
middle-parted, resembles Posh's bared-back, severe styles.
to wear a size 32DD bra, Kim spent the better part of four years
flaunting her bust in low-cut, figure-hugging, and often tiny dresses.
she continues to showcase her hourglass figure wrapped in outfits that
cling her her hips and bust, she does so while wearing long-sleeves and
high-waisted skirts that fall below her knees.
She now favours soft leather over nylon, streamlined stilettos over chunky platforms and Kayne West's Nike Air Yeezy sneakers over thigh-high flat-boots.
As well as sitting front row at both
the Stephane Rolland and Givenchy couture shows this week in Paris, she
recently landed her first Vogue cover, for the July-August issue of
Italy's L’Uomo Vogue.
And it may not be front-row at Chanel, or the holy-grail of Vogue covers, Anna
Wintour's – yet – but with each step, Kim is leaving her over-the-top
days behind her, keeping fans glued to her Instagram feed as they watch her
transformation from Jersey Shore to Paris couture.
The 31-year-old has spent years
flaunting her bust in low-cut, bust enhancing, and often tiny dresses. Now, she opts for collar-bone skimming necklines.

Four years apart: In 2008 (left), Kim favoured bust enhancing dresses, but fast forward to 2012 (right) and she prefers more covered-up styles
Kim has also swapped her favoured bold brights
for a more subdued, but still punchy, monochrome colour palette.

Polar opposites: Kim wore colour-blocked Gucci to her fragrance launch, however she has since ditched brights from her wardrobe, opting instead for black and white separates
GOODBYE WAVY HAIR
Her hair, once wavy, is now worn sleek and straight – pulled back or classically
middle-parted, a style that resembles Victoria Beckham's more severe styles.
Worlds apart: Kim has perfected the polished ponytail, exchanging her waves for sleek, pulled back hairstyles
Stringy to straight: Going from curls and a side part in 2007 (left), Kim now wears a severe middle-part
