She's an actress who shot to fame at the tender age of nine when she was cast as Hermione Grainger in the film adaptations of JK Rowling's best-selling novels.

But it seems even the most famous celebrities need a reality check from time to time, reminding themselves of their road to fame and fortune.

Emma Watson confessed to her 3.3million Twitter followers that she had rented a Harry Potter film on streaming service Netflix.

She then posted an apology for being 'really bad at Twitter'.

The eight Harry Potter films made 22-year-old Emma a whopping 10million – meaning she could easily retire and live off her teenage earnings if she fancied it.

She has also branched out into modelling and fashion design, collaborating on an fair trade clothing collection with People Tree.

But the star has remained grounded and
plans to return to the United States to complete her degree at Ivy
League Brown University in Rhode Island after a brief stint at Oxford
University.

Last month, she revealed on her official website that her mum's advised her to keep her private life private.

Answering
a question posed by a fan, Emma wrote: 'My mum said to me very early on
in my career, “Never give anyone information that you aren’t
comfortable discussing at any time, anywhere and with anyone – once you
open the door on a subject it’s very difficult to close it.”

'That is very true and I am a very private person. It's not always easy to follow but I try to keep it in mind.'

Emma
didn't disclose if she chose the first film, Harry Potter and the
Philosopher's Stone for a glimpse of how it all began, or if she opted
for one of the later, darker films in the series.
