He's quite clearly the apple of his fathers' eyes.

And Sir Elton John couldn't have looked more smitten with his little boy Zachary during an exclusive interview on ITV morning show Daybreak this morning.

The Rocket Man singer doted on his two-year-old son as he chatted to Daybreak's Helen Fospero from his home in the South of France, and revealed how much his life has changed since he and husband David Furnish welcomed Zachary into their lives.

He said: 'I think it changes everybody. It's the most wonderful thing that you
could possibly go through.

'I regret a little bit that I didn't do it
sooner, but he has changed our lives. Everything is about him now.

'He's
gorgeous, he travels brilliantly, he so loves people, and it makes our
lives – he's the icing on the cake.'

And Sir Elton said he and Furnish are 'definitely' going to be adding to their brood in the future, saying: 'At what stage we don't know, but we definitely will. I don't want him to be an only child.'

At the moment, however, Sir Elton said he is working hard to forge his little boy's interest in music – particularly his ability to play the piano.

He said: 'He loves the
piano, he sits down and plays it – he doesn't just bang it, he plays it
like I play it. He's never seen a show, he's too young, but he comes out
when the stadium is empty and sits down on the piano stool with me and
he plays and looks into the microphone and thinks, “What the hell is
going on here”

'But he knows what I do because somebody showed him the
Jubilee on tape and he went, “Daddy!” '

Sir Elton also said he is an incredibly 'hands-on' father when it comes to his little boy.

He said: 'The first thing I do every morning is
have breakfast with him. He shares my breakfast. Whatever I have, he
wants.

'He has my boiled egg and I have his pineapple or vice versa. I
sound like I'm the only person who has ever had a kid – everyone's been
through this.

'But for me, it's an incredible difference to what life was
before.'
