She usually has her lady-in-waiting to dress her, but Downton's resident glamour girl Michelle Dockery called in someone a little more high profile when she dressed for the Emmy Awards.

The beautiful midnight blue Louis Vuitton dress that Michelle donned was custom-made for her by none other than Marc Jacobs.

The creative director at the Parisian label, who happens to be a huge fan of the ITV show, revealed a sketch of the dress exclusively for Grazia Daily.

Although she didn't pick up an Emmy, the television star looked stunning in her custom-made gown

Speaking to the website, he said: 'I always look forward to the
Lady Mary moments on Downton Abbey – and for Michelle Dockery's
appearance in this gorgeous gown. She looked flawless!'

And although she may have missed out to Claire Danes in the Best Actress in a Drama Series, Michelle was still a winner in the style stakes as she posed on the red carpet at
the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

The
30-year-old actress' gown
featured a sheer top and full skirt with some kooky pockets.

Michelle teamed her outfit with deep red lipstick, and wore her auburn hair swept back in a chic up do.

She finished off her outfit with a Jimmy Choo gold box clutch bag and Fred Leighton jewellery for some added glamour.
