Christmas with the Beckhams: Fortnum & Mason trees, bespoke pink football boots and dinner by Gordon Ramsay
The Beckhams are flying into Britain to celebrate Christmas – and what an event it is going to be. Here we outline the festive plans being put in place to ensure Christmas with David and Victoria goes with a bang.
DECKING THE HALLS
Victoria has reportedly spent 35,000 adorning Beckingham Palace, their 18m mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, with lavish Christmas garlands, baubles and trees.
The star – who last month won a much-coveted Designer of the Year award – is not short of creative inspiration, but nevertheless drafted in experts from luxury London department store Fortnum & Mason to create a lavish festive theme to be waiting for them upon their return.

Six 10ft Nordic pines were decorated in the style of the store”s own silver room, using a colour theme of pure silver and glass.
In addition, Victoria had the designers add further decorations around Beckingham Palace to create a breathtaking festive feel.
With money no object, Victoria is reported to have spent 5,000 to decorate each tree – plus another 5,000 for extra decorations around the house.
The Mirror said: “Victoria wanted the best of everything and liaised with the store directly to organise decorations. She seemed really excited about Christmas, knew what she wanted and was very specific.

“She ordered silver and glass decorations only, covering all six of the trees throughout the main rooms of the house and lots of decorations for the hallways.
“The trees are decorated in the same style as the trees in the London store’s ‘silver room’.
“Victoria wanted everything done very quickly. Fortnum & Mason had workers in and out of the house within a day.
“David and Victoria love everything about the festive season and wanted everything just right for their three boys and, of course, for Harper’s first family Christmas.”

Not content with having three football-crazy boys, David is said to be keen to welcome Harper Seven into his world. This Christmas he is said to have commissioned a bespoke pair of pink football boots – complete with the lucky number seven stitched onto them – for the little girl so she can join her brothers on the pitch.
For her part, Victoria has chosen a selection of sensory toys for Harper, as well as funny slogan T-shirts for the boys.

Victoria has bought Beatrix Potter and Enid Blyton books to read to baby Harper
According to Closer magazine, Victoria has bought Harper her first ballet tutu – a frothy pink number – and a Christmas pudding babygro for the little girl to wear on Christmas day.
Harper will also find books by Beatrix Potter and Enid Blyton under the trees (which one is anyone”s guess).
For David, Victoria has splashed out on a rare vintage Harley Davidson motorbike and photography kit.
Victoria and David have invited Gordon and Tana Ramsay to celebrate with them, bringing together both broods.
Making up the menagerie will be the Beckham”s three sons Brooklyn, 12; Romeo, nine; Cruz, six; five-month-old baby daughter Harper Seven, and the Ramsay”s five children, Joe, four; Megan Jane, three; Matilda, nine, and twins Jack and Holly Anna, 11.
The two families have spent the past two Christmasses together so will be no strangers to each other”s quirks and traditions.
Buddies: Gordon Ramsay and David Beckham have been friends for years, frequently spending time together both in LA and London
Despite Gordon”s credentials as a world-class, Michelin-starred chef meaning he could more than handle the festive feast alone, the notoriously outspoken cook says the secret to success is having everybody pitch in.
“The secret about cooking with families together is delegating, so we”ll all be doing something I”m sure.
“There will be no lazy fingers… whether it”s Victoria doing the roast or David carving the turkey or my wife Tana making the sauce or me doing the Christmas pudding, we”ll all be helping each other.”
In Christmasses, Ramsay has hinted atthe frolics to be had with his A-list pals, saying the fun starts when the children go to bed.
“The kids will be ready for bed by 6.30 to seven… and then we can all start playing naked Twister at eight,” he has said.
Getaway: Victoria and David are said to be planning an Alpine ski trip in the New Year
THE FESTIVE GETAWAYS
Victoria and David are said to be planning a pre-Christmas weekend away to Paris.
WithDavid Beckham”s five-year-contract with LA Galaxy coming to an end at the end of the 2011 season, the football star has been heavily linked with the French capital”s Saint-Germain club.
David has said he would only consider a move that suits his family, given that they have made Los Angeles their home.
Asource has told Closer magazine that Victoria and David plan to get to know the city to assess it for a potential move – and for Victoria to see if an office in Paris would be a suitable home for her growing design business.
Post-Christmas, the two will spend a week skiing in the Alps.
Victoria and David have previously spent time in the luxury ski resort of Courchevel, France, while Victoria has shown off her skills on the snow – and her stylish skiwear wardrobe – on holiday in Verbier, Switzerland.
