'I'll dedicate this dance to River Phoenix': Corey Feldman pays tribute to Stand

Corey Feldman dedicated his Dancing On Ice performance to late actor River Phoenix.

In honour of 'Movie Week', the skating hopeful performed with professional partner Brooke Castile to the title track of 1986 film Stand /01/22/article-2090260-1168ED3B000005DC-102_634x438.jpg” width=”634″ height=”438″ alt=”Poignant: Corey dedicated his performance to Stand /01/22/article-2090260-1169462C000005DC-424_634x381.jpg” width=”634″ height=”381″ alt=”Confused: Corey couldn't believe he had been saved, with Jennifer Ellison having to explain the good news” class=”blkBorder” />

He said: 'It makes me think of River, so I will dedicate this performance to him.'

The Hollywood veteran also spared no
modesty when it came to dancing, saying: 'I think as a dancer, I'm one
of the best there is. I was friends with Michael Jackson and we used to
dance together.'

Although despite his best efforts of
hip-shaking and pelvis-thrusting on the ITV1 live show, while lighting
up the rink in purple sequins, he scored three points less than last
week's 11.

After the performance, Feldman referenced Phoenix again, saying: 'During the choreography I thought of River a lot. It was very heartwarming for me. I'm very disappointed with the score.'
