They both went for very different styles but still pulled off a look of elegance on Monday night.

Past met present as Kristina Rihanoff and Darcey Bussell arrived at the Daily Mail Inspirational Woman of the Year Awards.

The event was held at the London Marriott Hotel, in Grosvenor Square, London, with the two Strictly Come Dancing stars taking centre stage.

While Kristina, 35, is no longer part of the BBC show, she clearly hasn't given up dancing as she showed off her fantastic shape in a strapless black dress.

The former Strictly dancer wore a rather racy frock that featured some zip detail at the front.

She teamed the dress with a pair of peep toe heels and wore her blonde hair down and away from her face.

While Kristina set pulses racing with her fantastic outfit, Darcey opted for something slightly different as she graced the red carpet.

The Strictly judge looked like the belle of the ball in a pink floor length gown that featured an intricate neckline.

Looking like a true fairytale princess Darcey glided in to the event ready to take her seat among all the other inspirational women.

Other stars at the awards included TV presenter Emma Forbes who caught the eye in a blue dress.

The beautiful brunette showed her sultry side in a frock that had a strategically placed hole in the chest area.

With her cleavage partially on show Miss Forbes completed her look with a small blue clutch.

Loose Women anchor Andrea McLean kept things simple in a long black dress and Esther Rantzen followed suit in a shorter sheer sleeve version.

Model Olivia Inge almost matched her dress with her hair as she sported a rouge dress with her flaming red mane falling over her shoulders.

Kara Tointon completed the Strictly Come Dancing theme and looked lovely in a layered ivory dress that she matched with cream trousers.

This is the Mail’s sixth annual Inspirational Women of the Year competition, in association with the Sanctuary Spa and the charity Wellbeing Of Women. Finalists have been invited to the ceremony and the winner will receive a 5,000 luxury break.
