Corrie's Michelle Keegan and The Wanted's Max George 'call off engagement after series of rows'

Actress Michelle Keegan and fianc Max George have apparently called off their engagement after a series of rows.

The Coronation Street actress, 24, and The Wanted singer, 23, are still together, but have decided to put their summer wedding plans on hold.

The couple got engaged last June after just six months of dating and had been excitedly talking of their plans to tie the knot this summer surrounded by their celebrity friends.

However, following a tense holiday in Barbados with his bandmates and their girlfriends, the pair have reportedly agreed they're not ready to wed, according to the Daily Mirror.

Pictured in London on Thursday, where she had been presenting red carpet coverage of the War Horse premiere for Blue Peter, Keegan's engagement finger was noticeably bare.

Although the couple have officially blamed their busy work schedules on the decision to cancel their wedding, they've apparently had several arguments in recent months.

A source close to Max told the Daily Mirror: 'Their Barbados trip was supposed to
be a chance to spend some quality time together but Max was working and
they had a few tense rows.

'Since
returning they've decided to cool things off, and get back to having
fun. They have agreed to scrap the wedding plans and there are no
immediate plans to reschedule.'

Last October, the pair were reported to have argued at an awards show when Max accused Michelle of flirting with other men.

And recently, Keegan admitted it was difficult for them to find quality time together as she spent long hours filming Coronation Street in Manchester, while he was travelling around the country and abroad with his band.

The Wanted are now trying to break the States, which will mean even more time apart for the young couple.

She said last year: 'We've so much going on. I've been busy with work and he's been touring so we haven't even sat down and spoke about it yet. We Skype though. It's fine.'

A spokesman for George said: 'They are not rushing and are taking as much time as necessary to plan the wedding.

'Both
Max, who is touring, and Michelle have hectic work schedules making it
almost impossible to pin down a date. The wedding is on hold.'

The couple started dating just over a year ago when Keegan met George backstage at the Key 103 Jingle Ball in Manchester in December 2010.

Their relationship came a month after Keegan split from club
promoter boyfriend Brad Howard after two years together.
