She’s getting married to teacher Trevor Dawson this summer and it looks as if Helen Worth has chosen the dressmaker for her big day.
The Coronation Street actress– who plays five times married Gail Platt in the ITV1 soap – was spotted leaving Suzanne Neville’s store in Knightsbridge, London and with bespoke wedding dresses taking months to complete, it’s a safe bet to assume she was attending a fitting.
The calm bride-to-be visited the store alone, unlike many who choose to take along a friend or family member along for moral support.
Here comes the bride! Coronation Street actress Helen Worth pays a visit to the Suzanne Neville store in London's Knightsbridge ahead of her summer wedding
Attending a fitting With her wedding scheduled for this summer it is surely too late for Helen to be browsing for dresses
She was casually dressed in white trousers, a pale pink shirt and comfortable black shoes with a red bag and a pair of sunglasses perched on her head.
Helen split from Michael Angelis in 2001 after 21 years of marriage and perhaps having gone through it all once before, she knows exactly what needs to be done.
Wedding bells are ringing: Helen and her school teacher boyfriend Trevor Dawson will marry this summer
The groom is the most important thing
and Helen, 61, has that sorted with her toyboy primary school deputy
head fiance Trevor, 54.
The couple had been dating for over a
year before their engagement was revealed in April and they went only
public with their romance last summer, when Helen opened a fair at the
Surrey primary school where former church organist Trevor works.
A friend told The People, ‘She wants every detail to be perfect for her big day’.
Been through it all before: Helen has tied the knot an incredible five times during her stint on Coronation Street. Her last marriage in 2010 was to Joe McIntyre
She had no idea! Helen's character Gail was shocked to discover husband Richard Hillman was a murderer
Along with having been married once before in real life, Helen has also been wed five times onscreen so she must be somewhat of an expert on wedding ceremonies by now.
Gail first wed in the soap in 1978 when she married car mechanic Brian Tilsley.
She then re-married him after divorcing over an affair, before going on to tie the knot with Martin Platt and evil murderer Richard Hillman.
Her last marriage was to Joe
McIntyre in 2010 but after he made her a widow for the third time she
appears to have given up on marriage for now.
Gail married Martin Platt in 1991 but that marriage was a failure
things are sure to be happier for Helen with a friend revealing Trevor
is the one thing that has been missing from her life.
After their engagement was revealed, the pal said, ‘Helen has always been a very private person, but it's plain to see how delighted she is with the development in her love life.
‘These days she appears to be
smiling all the time – the fans would hardly recognise her after having
to portray all that awful anguish for so many years.
‘Her engagement is brilliant news – she's been besieged by genuine friends wishing her every happiness.’
Where it all began: Gailmarried Brian Tilsey in 1979 but had no idea she would go on to marry another four times
