Every woman knows not to go shopping with a man, but Coleen Rooney has other ideas.

The 25-year-old WAG enjoyed some retail therapy in Manchester yesterday and left husband Wayne waiting in the car.

Coleen had dressed up for a quick trip and didn't hold back with her spending which resulted in her struggling with several carrier bags.

Wearing a black and grey boucl patterned cape with gold buckle detail, the mother-of-one had obviously chosen her outfit very carefully.

She teamed it with black skinny jeans which she tucked into bright red leather knee-high boots, and wore her hair in a high bun.

Coleen first stopped off at Selfridges where she emerged carrying two Chanel shopping bags.

However, despite splurging at the French designer's concession in the department store, Coleen didn't look too pleased.

She then directed Manchester United player Wayne to outdoor clothing specialists Ellis Brigham where she splashed out on a lot of items.

Perhaps the family are planning on going skiing in the near future, or are looking forward to a camping trip judging by the large carrier bags that Coleen carried to the car.

Surprisingly, Wayne didn't step out of the couple's Range Rover to help his wife.

'Coleen has not seen shopping in Manchester city centre for a while so it was a surprise to see her,' said one onlooker.

'But it was a double big surprise to see that she had to get all the bags in the car herself.

'Obviously
Wayne had agreed to drive but you would have thought he would have have
given her hand because of all the bags she had with her.

'He seemed content to sit in the driver's seat texting and tweeting. Perhaps he wanted to stay out because he was just worried about his car being booked by traffic wardens.'

After the shopping trip, the married pair sped off to enjoy some lunch together with their two-year-old son Kai.

'Nice Chinese New Year lunch at Wings with @WayneRooney and Kai,' Coleen tweeted yesterday afternoon.

Following her working trip to Florida last week to shoot a new campaign for Littlewoods, Coleen was back to reality with a bump.

'Nursery then to the gym I go!!! Can't stop thinking of my friend who is in labor right now!!; she shared with her 548,310 followers this morning.
