It's the sporting extravaganza which has got the world, as well as a whole horde of celebrities fully involved.
And even Hollywood royalty have now been turning up to the 2012 Olympic games in London to get a piece of the action.
Earlier today Thor star Chris Hemsworth, who turns 29 on Saturday, took his seat to watch a water polo match with his wife Elsa Pataky.

And they must have certainly been cheering on Spain to defeat Montenegro in the quarter final game, as Pataky is Spanish.
The actress looked happy and content as Chris wrapped his arms around her, despite their team eventually bailing out after losing the match.
Hemsworth dressed casually for the event as he wore a V-neck T-shirt, while he tied his hair back into a ponytail.

Elsa, meanwhile, wore her hair in her own ponytail while she wore a stripy top for the occasion.
They looked intently on as they watched the match unfold.
But they took time out to chat amongst themselves and giggle at their in-jokes.

The pair flew into the city earlier this week.
And Hemsworth wasted no time getting into the Olympics spirit by heading straight to a party in east London alongside the likes of Alexandra Burke and Misha B.
