There's two of them! Chris Hemsworth was joined on set by a stunt double as he got to work on the Thor sequel today (Tuesday)
Back looking buff: Chris highlighted his muscular physique in the silver armour and red cape
Australian Chris was seen wielding his hammer as he shot fight scenes alongside actress Jaimie Alexander, who plays Sif, the goddess of Asgard, in the upcoming movie.
But when the fight scenes get a bit too
dangerous to film, Chris luckily has the help of a body double, who was
seen comparing locks with the actor on the set today.
As the cast and crew got to work on the set today, Chris was seen with his long blonde hair loose around his shoulders, highlighting his buff physique in his silver armour and red cape.

Wielding his hammer: The movie sequel is due for release in November 2013, and looks to be as action-packed as the first film
And as well as having to take on Sif, it appears that Thor will have to battle a variety of monsters, judging by the costumed actors also seen on set.
While the main details of the movie's plot have been kept under wraps ahead of the release of the upcoming film, Thor 2 will focus once again on the fractious relationship between Thor and his adopted brother Loki.
Fans of the first movie will know that Thor was betrayed by his sibling on more than one occasion, and it seems as though that subject matter will continue on into the sequel.
All-star cast: Chris was joined by a host of extras as he got to work shooting the film
Watch out! It looks as though Thor will have his fair share of monsters to battle in the new film
Talking about the follow-up movie recently, Chris said of Thor and Loki's relationship: 'It’s what I loved about the comics. It was never clean and cut and
that’s it. It was always like, Thor would forgive him, they’d be
friends, and Loki would betray him again. “You idiot, Thor! Again”
'But it was different than your normal good guy, bad guy scenario.
They’re brothers, you know Anyone with siblings understands that. “That’s it, I’m never talking to you again… want to play football” '
The upcoming film will be directed by Game Of Thrones's Alan Taylor, and Chris said he is looking forward to seeing what take Taylor will have on the legendary story.
Powerful: Thor lifts his foot before smashing it down on the ground and causing havoc
Atmospheric: The actors were surrounded by a plume of dirt as Thor's power took hold
He said: 'I love that sort of mythical element, that there was an organic real world there, and I think Asgard and Thor’s ethereal universe could be injected with that. It could be more sort of tangible.
'So more locations, less green screen. I think the Viking influence that that sort of world came from. It should feel tangible. It should exist more, instead of too shiny, clean, golden.'
Thor: The Dark World is scheduled for release in November 2013.
