In her first television appearance since she began dating Tre Holloway, Cheryl Cole seems to have jumped the gun somewhat.

The pop star got up close and personal with her backing dancer boyfriend as he got down on bended knee for her.

However, the gesture was not a marriage proposal, it was simply part of the dance routine as the couple performed on The Jonathan Ross Show.

The 29-year-old was not willing to discuss her new romance, but the chemistry between the pair was evident as they danced.

As Cheryl performed new track Under The Sun, the clouds opened in the studio as she and Tre embarked on a racy and well rehearsed routine.

The pair danced in the rain after the former X Factor judge went and had a chat with Jonathan about ex husband Ashley Cole and her current beau.

When probed by host Jonathan about her love life, she said: 'I am having a lot of fun right now and I’m a very happy person.'

Cole remained tight lipped on her apparent new boyfriend and dodged questions at every turn about Tre, despite Ross's best efforts.

When he asked who the gentleman was behind her, she said: 'I don’t know, but he’s handsome'.

It isn't just Tre that has been causing Cheryl's heart to skip a beat recently as her close friend Will.i.am was crashed his car with her inside it.

Although she has recovered from the crash she told Jonathan that she said to Will: 'Well that was a f****** stupid thing to do', before joking that she would never let him drive her again.

With her music career back on track, Cheryl is also planning on releasing her autobiography soon to silence critics and answer some questions.

She said: 'I don’t talk a lot. I'm just sick of other people's s*** to be perfectly honest so I wanted to say my own s***.'

With a lot of revelations set to be revealed in the book Cheryl, who plans on keeping on her Mrs C tattoo, warned Ashley in advance about it.

She said: 'I didn’t have to but I let him know it was happening. I just thought it would be nice that I gave him the heads up so he can leave the country two weeks before.'
