Charlotte Gainsbourg turns Nymphomaniac as she is lined up to star in controversial new film by Lars von Trier
She won the Best Actress award in Cannes for her role in his 2009 film Antichrist.
So it”s no wonder that director Lars von Trier is keen to get Charlotte Gainsbourg back in front of his camera again.
The French actress is in talks with the controversial Danish filmmaker to star in his upcoming movie The Nymphomaniac.

The film, which is split into eight chapters, would see Gainsbourg undergoing what the director calls an “erotic birth” in a tale of sexual awakening.
The movie will follow “the erotic life of a woman from the age of zeroto the age of 50” and will be made into two versions – one graphic “hardcore” version and a tamer version for mainstream cinemas.
Filming is expected to start next summer and according to reports, Stellan Skarsgard is looking to co-star.
Both he and Gainsbourg – along with his son Alexander – starred in von Trier”s movie this year, Melancholia, alongside Kirsten Dunst who won the Best Actress award in Cannes in the summer.
WillemDafoe, who also starred in Antichrist, is also believed to have been approached by von Triers to star in the movie, which would see him reunited with Gainsbourg.
Gainsbourg, 40, is the daughter of English actress Jane Birkin and French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg.
She has had a busy year, having starred in Melancholia and also concentrating on her music career.

Her fourth album Stage Whisper was released today and the single from the album, Anna, was released last month.
The album sees Gainsbourg collaborating with the likes of Beck, Conor O’Brien of Villagers, Noah and the Whale and Connan Mockasin.
