A fresh start: Chantelle Houghton boxes up her belongings as she prepares to moves out of her Essex home

She's had to come to terms with the breakdown of her relationship to her ex-fiance as she faces life as a single mother.
But determined to keep things moving, Chantelle Hougton was pictured on Tuesday boxing up her belongs as she prepares to leave her Essex home.
The 29-year-old was also seen donating some of the boxes she loaded into her car to The British Heart Foundation.

Dressed in leopard print faux fur jacket, Chantelle was seen stacking up boxes in her doorway.
Ensuring to make the process as comfortable as possible, she completed her outfit with a pair of Ugg boots and jeans whilst wearing her hair in a ponytail.

During the strenuous mission, Chantelle found an unwelcome visitor in her kitchen and was quick to share the news on her Twitter page.
Her tweet read: 'Packing up my house today, walked downstairs to find a rat in the kitchen last night! It got in from the river by side of house in basement!'

Chantelle recently opened up in an interview with OK! magazine about the night her ex-fianc Alex Reid was arrested by police.
Still confused as to why the former cage fighter broke into her home, she confessed that she found the whole ordeal frightening.
She also admitted that despite Reid's actions that night he has still failed to understand why she felt the need to sought after the help of the law.

On the evening in question, Chantelle revealed that Alex had gone to stay with his parents after he headed out to get his mobile phone fixed.
Upset that he was planning to spend the night away from herself and Dolly, she said that she asked him to come home but he insisted that he would not be returning.
The following morning she quizzed him on his plans for the evening and failed to get back to her, so when the night came she believed that again he would be at his parent's house.
Retelling the night, she explained: 'I ran downstairs with every intention of opening the door. But as I got halfway down the stairs, I saw the door smash in, the alarm was set off and Dolly started screaming. I was frightened.'

In a state of shock mixed with tiredness, Chantelle revealed that she had never seen Alex this angry and couldn't quite make sense of why he had broken into her house.
She continued: 'When the door smashed open, I screamed at him that I was going to call the police because he was frightening me. And he said: 'Go on, call the police.' And that scared me more. I was shaking.'
Reiterating that she had not wanted Alex to get arrested and only called the police so that they could calm the situation as she was unsure for her own safety.
