Karl Lagerfeld's make-up range for Shu Uemura
The designer teamed up with the make-up brand to create the super sweet mascot 'Mon Shu
Girl' – a chic cartoon character with a sharp bob and a pristine
face of makeup, blending 'Japanese pop with European chic'.
'Mon Shu Girl' was brought to life by a cartoon Karl drew himself using eyeshadow.
The collection debuts lipstick, blusher
and a neon green eyeshadow. As well as a dark
purple gel eyeliner, the line boasts two pairs of false eyelashes. One
which is made of red and black fabric, a first for the Japanese brand.
Karl’s four lip shades are titled Mon Shu Red, Luxe Burgundy,
Celebrity Beige and Parisienne Pink, while nail varnishes come in Karl
Black, Shu Shu Red and Royal Beige.
Each pot will be
sold with a strip of nail stickers featuring Mon Shu, so you can add a
touch of Japanese culture to your manicure.
The range will launch just before Christmas.
