Plenty of unlikely friendships have been formed on previous series of Celebrity Big Brother, with Hollywood star Tara Reid becoming BFFs with hyperactive pop twins Jedward during the 2011 season.
And now it could be that Cheryl Fergison finds a new pal in the form of Olympic judo athlete Ashley McKenzie.
Although at a first glance, the pair don't seem to have too much in common, it hasn't taken them long to forge a bond.

The former EastEnders actress – whose loveable character Heather Trott was killed off the BBC One soap earlier this year – was entertaining the sports star as they splashed around together in the house's private pool earlier today.
While Ashley looked a tad uncomfortable, the 48-year-old star was in her element as she performed impressions of Big Brother himself and a whole host of other regional accents.

And they are not the only contestants to have seemingly formed a friendship in such an early stage in the competition.
Models Rhian Sugden and Danica Thrall look set to become BBFs after climbing into bed together to get to know each other better.

The glamour models both entered the house to the sound of boos and in tonight's episode the girls will be seen getting cosy as they form allegiances.
With the bedroom open, Rhian and Danica appeared to have found common ground as they lied down and got to talking.
Both girls, also enjoyed a bonding session in the garden with Olympian Ashley McKenzie, comedian Julian Clary and So Solid Crew rapper MC Harvey.

Sugden, 25, made a name for herself after it was reported that she had been 'sexting' married television presenter Vernon Kay.
Whereas Thrull featured on a show called Sex, Lies and Rinsing Guys, and the 24-year-oldv was also crowned Miss Derby in 2006.

Following the successful completion of Coronation Street's Julie Goodyear and EastEnders' Cheryl Fergison's secret task the housemates were rewarded with a party.
The former soap stars were the first contestants to enter the house and were immediately given earpieces by Big Brother and told to fool their fellow housemates by creating 'a real life soap opera' with 'scandal, tears and tantrums'.
During the task, which lasted 90 minutes, the pair had a row over a fictional affair Julie had with Cheryl’s former boyfriend.
The fight ended with Julie throwing a drink in Cheryl’s face when a massive row erupted.

Big Brother then informed the other stunned contestants of the task and revealed they had won the house a soap-themed party in the garden.
Last night Julie was the first to enter the house, wearing a sequinned cape, a black slogan tee, leopard print horns and tight pink leopard print leggings.
Before going in she said: 'I'm looking forward to it, I really am. Bring it on!'
She was quickly followed into the house by Cheryl, who vowed not to stand for any nonsense from her fellow contestants.
She told host Brian Dowling: 'I've got a few things up my sleeve. I've got a few choice words if they do f**k me off a bit.'
