'My dignity is not for sale!' Michael Madsen refuses to participate in Big Brother task because he says he'll 'never work again'
Michael Madsen snapped this evening when asked to take part in a run-of-the-mill task by Big Brother.
Asked to put on a white zipper suit, he said: 'I'm not wearing the f****** thing without clothes underneath.'
'My dignity is not for sale, not to you, or anyone else at any price.'
Digging his heels in: Michael Masden refused to take part in the day's task because he said his dignity wasn't 'for sale'
Big Brother had announced that housemates had to select the four best actors and send them to the diary room.
Karissa and Kristina, Denise, Michael and Natalie headed to the diary room where were are asked by Big Brother if they feel they are the best actors in the house.
Michael immediately responded: 'They’re all acting, believe me.'
Not a team player: The other housemates asked to take part- chosen for their acting ability- all agreed to participate
The group were asked to prepare for the challenge by changing into white body suits.
Instantly rankled, Michael refused to put on the suit and returned to the diary room to explain that to Big Brother that he will not do the task.
He explained: 'I didn't spend 25 years making 170 pictures, raising five sons, to give my dignity away.'
Refused: All the group had to do was put on white suits, but Michael declined on the grounds that he would 'never work again' afterwards
The actor then returned to the living area, where he told the other housemates that he would not take part.
He declared: 'I am not gonna have my five boys, my beloved sons watching me on YouTube in that f*****g white suit.'
Denise commented that Michael's behaviour was 'pathetic' and that the others would be fine without him.
Took one for the team: Denise and Natalie weren't too proud to get involved
She added: 'He's not a team player, and that's it.'
Later in the kitchen, Michale continued to justify his reasons for not participating to his housemates.
He protested: 'You will never get another job as long as you live.'
Last straw: These were the white costumes which Michael refused to try on
Backed him up: Michael explained to Kirk, Frankie and Romeo that he couldn't face his 'beloved sons' watching him in a white suit on Youtube, to which Kirk replied 'good for you'
'Imagine me going to a casting director's office after this, after being seen in that f****** white suit.'
Michael later joined the others in the garden, and said to Denise: 'Denise, you will be an absolute genius in this – you will be wonderful.’
She replied 'Are you being facetious', to which Michael said no.
Wouldn't let it drop: Later in the kitchen Michael said that he'd never be able to walk into a casting director's office again if he took part in the task
Denise then reminds him of the night before, and his uncouth reaction to her offering him a Jack Daniels.
Irritated by her bringing it up again, Michael snapped: 'Denise, just keep it up and I will walk away from you. Sort yourself out,' before leaving.
Denise was left stunned again at the reaction, and Romeo mentioned that this was an awkward moment.
Pot calling the kettle black: Michael took to the chair to say that he found it annoying when the girls pretended to be nice to each other in person but secretly wanted to 'rip each others' hair out'
Things also erupted between Denise Welch and Michael Madsen after the Reservoir Dogs actor labelled the actress 'emotionally disturbed'.
The comment came as the Celebrity Big Brother housemates were forced to make face-to-face nominations on last night's spin-off show.
Nominating Denise, Michael said: 'I can’t stand another minute in this house with Denise, I am not the source of this argument…she is.
Did their bit: The celebs who dressed in white had to act out popular sayings for two teams to guess
Victimised: Denise felt especially unhappy with Michael after his persistent antagonism
'I feel she is emotionally disturbed and like she said it’s either me or her.'
However, Denise was left so distraught by Michael's comments that she burst into tears, and had to be comforted by Natalie Cassidy and the Playboy twins Kristina and Karissa.
Following the incident, Natalie was fuming by Michael's behaviour and vowed to talk to the actor, who she has previously likened to a grandfather figure in the house.
At her wit's end: Denise said that she didn't know how to behave as she was so afraid that everything she says invites criticism from Michael
She told her fellow housemates: 'I can’t let it lie. He needs to be told that what he said about Denise was wrong.'
Kirk and Romeo had a heart to heart about the situation, with even Kirk admitting 'there is a bit of an atmosphere when he walks past.
Michael appears confident about his position, and said: 'You can vote me out, the public will vote me back in.'
Couldn't let it lie: Michael persisted in complaining about Denise to Romeo
