Keeping it simple Carolina Herrera showcased an array of ultra-feminine gowns at the Lincoln Center this morning.
With supermodels including Lindsey Wixson and Karlie Kloss sporting sleek half-up half-down hairstyles, inoffensive make-up and simple thick strap heels her practical yet elegant spring / summer collection was left to shine.
Her daughter Carolina, Bianca Jagger, who was wearing a signature white trouser suit, and Ivanka Trump sat front row while swirls of chiffon and organza drifted past.

Flowing dresses, tailored jackets, and maxi
skirts sashayed down the catwalk in shades of peppermint, cream and aqua which were punctuated with occasional flashes of tangerine.
Many ensembles drew attention to the waist, with belts and ornate patterns helping accentuate curves.
Meanwhile Mrs Herrera, 73, opted for a flattering black ensemble as she stepped out to close the show.
Describing her design style, which has remained consistent for more than 25 years she said: 'I love the idea of elegance and intricacy, but whether it is in a piece of clothing or a fragrance, the intricacy must appear as simplicity.'
