She is one of the most glamorous women on television, but Carol Vorderman was looking a little sombre as she left work on Wednesday.

The Loose Women anchor stepped out of the ITV London studios in a head-to-toe black ensemble, consisting of a signature figure-hugging dress, black tights, boots and large tote bag.

However, the presenter waved to fans awaiting her exit outside the building.

Carol, 51, is celebrated for her curves and has been crowned the winner of the Rear of the Year awards last year, beating celebrities including Pippa Middleton.

And the bubbly TV star usually takes a liking to revealing and colourful dresses, but this time opted to keep her enviable cleavage hidden under a high neckline.

Her racier style has seen her dubbed a leading member of the 'Swofties' – single women over fifty likely to be wearing designer clothes, drinking champagne cocktails and going to music festivals.

babysitting and bingo’ was ‘a thing of the past’.

And Carol is surely proof that life in your 50s can still be fun and sexy.

The 51-year-old had been in Harrogate earlier this week to film her new cooking show Food Glorious Food at the Flower Show.
