Even in her Diamond Jubilee year we’re still learning new things about the day-to-day life of our Queen.

Just think, before a few weeks ago we had no idea she enjoyed jumping out of helicopters!

Yesterday came a fresh revelation with similar sensational value – the 86-year-old is a fan of Loose Women, the ITV chat show famous for its bawdy humour and female indiscretion.

Of course, as with Her Majesty’s stunt over the Olympic Stadium, there will be sceptics.

But one of the show’s star presenters, Denise Welch, is pretty insistent it is true.

And why should we doubt her She won Celebrity Big Brother.

In fact, Miss Welch, 54, who has a raucous reputation, appears to be well acquainted with a number of royals.

Appearing
on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories show, she told how she once had a row
with Prince Andrew over the Royal Family’s treatment of Princess Diana,
and flashed her breasts at Princess Beatrice on a night out.

The
former Coronation Street actress said that it was during a charity
function at Buckingham Palace that she first heard the Queen was a fan
of her programme.

She said: ‘I heard the Queen watches Loose Women because I once went to the Palace.

‘I used to be president of a charity called Weston Spirit set up by Simon Weston to help teenagers get back on the rails.

Anyway, we got invited to the Palace and I was sat next to Prince Andrew and some of his servants told me that Her Majesty liked to watch it now and again’.

The Newcastle-born actress, who has often been photographed looking worse for wear after a night out, also revealed that she once flashed her breasts at Princess Beatrice.

She said: ‘Not so long ago I was in a private members’ club and as I turned round Princess Beatrice was there with her boyfriend and she turns around and went “Denise” and I went “Bea” and I flashed my boobs at her.’

She went on to claim she got into a row with Prince Andrew at a charity function in Newcastle after hearing him criticising Princess Diana not long after she had died.

She said: ‘I did not feel what he was saying was right… He looked at me as if I was an alien from outer space.’

Miss Welch – who also appeared in BBC drama Waterloo Road – has a colourful personal life. In her 2010 biography, Pulling Myself Together, she details her battle with drugs, alcohol and depression.

Earlier this year she ended her 24-year marriage to actor Tim Healy and has since become engaged to Lincoln Townley, who is 15 years her junior.
