She's widely known for playing fun loving characters in her movies.
But things are set to change as Cameron Diaz gears up for her next role in thriller The Counselor.
The 40-year-old actress was pictured in London on the set of the film on Tuesday sporting a fake cheetah tattoo which started behind her neck and trailed down her back.

Getting into character: Diaz arrived on set in a causal ensemble before she was transformed into a vixen following a trip to hair and make-up
The etching which is made up of an eye and several spots is said to make reference to the nickname given to Diaz's character Malkina in the film.
Wearing a floor length grey and white patterned dress, the Something About Mary actress looked sultry as she wore her blonde hair down in a bob.
Several pieces of gold jewelery and a pair of black open toe heels finished off Cameron's ensemble.
On location the Hollywood starlet was seen keeping herself hydrated with a drink, and prior to hair and make-up she was pictured in a causal get up consisting of a denim jacket, loose fitted tops, slim fit jeans and ankle boots.

The Counsellor has a star-studded cast which includes Brad Pitt and Penelope Cruz, and marks the screenwriting debut of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy.
The story centres on an attorney played by Michael Fassbender who gets in over his head when he teams up with Javier Bardem's seedy character to sell $20 million worth of cocaine.
The movie is set for release in the States at the end of next year.
