Make no mistake getting in shape is a
learning curve even for the super fit and the girls give advice about
their fitness and beauty regimes in the magazine.
Denise warns readers of the dangers of eating too many carbohydrate-heavy foods particularly later on in the day.
She explains: 'Last year, our trainer, Kate Eddy made us keep a food diary for three
months and I realised I was eating too many calories, even with training
five hours a day. Now I've pushed all my carbs, towards morning –
porridge for breakfast, English muffin mid-morning – and I'm opting for
more protein, fruit and vegetables later in the day.'
She adds: 'After you work out, your muscles are breaking down, so you need protein
immediately to build them back up. I have a protein shot or Hypnos, a
powder that turns into a mousse like Angel Delight, so it feels like
pudding. A few nuts, chicken breast, tuna or other lean meat would do
the trick, too.'
Lucy offers up some beauty advice adding: 'Clinique Deep Comfort Body Lotion
gives dry skin a major moisture boost.'
The full 20 Secrets Of The Super Fit feature can see be seen in the July issue of Marie Claire magazine on sale now.
