The U.S. invasion! Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger and Lana Del Rey heat up the red carpet at the Brit Awards
It is a night largely focussed on honouring British musical acts, but U.S. singers Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger and Lana Del Rey managed to grab a share of the spotlight at tonight's Brit Awards.
The stunning singers made an eye catching sight on the red carpet of London's O2 arena, with Rihanna looking ultra glamorous in a low cut beaded gold gown and high heeled studded sandals.
The 24-year-old singer teamed her Givenchy floor length dress with a pair of long brown leather gloves and a long gold necklace.

She went on to win the International Female Solo Artist gong at the awards for the second year running, beating Beyonce, Feist, Lady Gaga and Bjork.

She showed off the striking backless detail of her gown and detailed shoes as she chatted to fans.

The Barbados-born singer looked relaxed despite the recent furore over reports that she is recording two new songs with former boyfriend Chris Brown.
It has been three years since their turbulent relationship ended in violence and the image of the battered singer stunned the world.
But now, the Loud singer has collaborated with the R&B star on a remix of his new single Turn It Up and he, in turn, will make a cameo on an X rated remix of her song Birthday Cake.
