After five months of intensive daily training sessions, calorie controlled dieting and tough weekly challenges, Olivia Ward last night walked away with the coveted title of The Biggest Loser.
The 35-year-old New York opera singer has lost a whopping 129lbs which is nearly half of her starting weight of 261lbs.
She and her husband had been trying for a baby when doctors told her that if she did not change her life she might never become a mother.

Before and after: The side by side photo shows off Olivia”s amazing achievement
But the new slimline 132lb brunette says her dream is now renewed of expanding her family and she feels she has been given a second chance on life.
“I live in New York and my friends are very active. I always felt a little left out. I didn”t even realise how much I was missing,” Olivia told OK magazine.
“Now to be included and feel comfortable in my own skin while I”m doing all of these activities has just been priceless.”
Olivia has swapped her prior fatty breakfast of bacon, egg and cheese bagels for more
slimming fare of egg white omelette with sauted vegetables.
Life-changing: The 35-year-old said she wanted to slim down so she could start a family
Beginning of the journey: Olivia started the show weighing in at 261bs
The opera singer who was usually only cast for more matronly stage roles says she now wants to “try my hand at sexpot roles!”
But although Olivia”s journey on the Biggest Loser ranch was an arduous one, she was not doing it alone.
This season was for couples and she rode the highs and lows of her weigh loss journey with her sister Hannah Curlee, 32, who came in second in last night”s live final.
Olivia said: “I have a very special bond with Hannah. At the ranch, we”d encourage one
another. We”d cry and laugh with one another. I was so ready to attack the next challenge because she was there with me.”

Hannah who has also lost a staggering 120lb has slimmed down to 128lbs and says she feels better than ever.
“I”m so excited to date. I haven”t dated in years. I have more confidence, so it”s obviously better for me.
“Everyone”strying to set me up with a grandson That”s a new thing for me, just getting noticed, period,” Hannah shared excitedly.
Another change in the human resources co-ordinator”s life is now being able to wear sexier clothes.
Shopping for Hannah before mean that she had to go to the “old-lady section”.
Before: Hannah Curlee (left) came in 2nd place having lost 120lbs from a start weight of 248lbs and Irene Alvarado (right) came in 3rd having lost 116lbs from her 255lb frame
“I can wear all these designers. I haven”t worn dresses in 10 years, and I feel beautiful.”
Hannah”s diet has also drastically changed. She once had a weakness for fried chicken and mashed potatoes but she has happily swapped the greasy meal for salmon and salad and snacks on hummus and vegetables rather than cannoli pastries and tiramisu.
The all girl finale was rounded out by Irene Alvarado who gained nearly 100 pounds in less than two years.
The 27-year-old who lost 116lbs to come in third says her taste buds have now changed and instead on splurging on food to treat herself she now heads to to salon for a manicure and pedicure.
Succession: Anna Kournikova (left) has been confirmed to take the place of the Jillian Michaels (right) on The Biggest Loser
Irene says she is delighted with her svelte 139lb body after dropping serious amounts of weight each week on the show.
“A lot of the time, I don”t even recognise myself, when I see my reflection,” she said of her new shape.
“It”s incredible to see how far I have come because I remember taking a lot of pictures and thinking, “Well I”m not really that fat, am I” But I was huge! I”m still trying to get used to what I look like now,” she added.
Meanwhile, Jillian Michaels who has been a trainer on the show since 2004, announced last December that this season will be her last.
The 37-year-old tough talking fitness guru says she is leaving the hit show to focus on becoming a mother and revealed she is in the process of adopting a baby.
She will be replaced by former tennis champion Anna Kournikova, 29, who will bring her fitness expertise to next season and join Bob Harper who is staying on the show.
Next season, contestants will also have to contend with Cara Castronuova and Brett Hoebel who made their debut on the show this year.
